About Me

I am a professional anchor with an experience of more than 15 years of hosting events at multiple occasions for multiple clients in various countries.

Blessed with a deep voice, I am an approachable, delightful, and fun Anchor who is a ball of energy!

I am an Engineer and an MBA (Marketing) by education and have been a passionate marketer throughout my corporate career. Alongside, I have been working as an anchor and was lucky to enjoy the confidence and trust of so many clients and event managers over the years.

Event Anchoring to me has it’s own charm and energy. It’s not just about getting on the stage and saying what you are supposed to say. It’s more about understanding the overall reason for the event, becoming a co-owner with the organising team and connecting with the audiences.

I love that challenge of trying to read the people in front of you and changing your gears to ensure their energy and attention levels are maintained high. It’s a lot of presence of mind and situation handling both on the stage as well as on the backstage! And, it’s a lot of responsibility.

My 3-Step Process:

As an Anchor for events, live shows, gigs, concerts, conferences, weddings, private events, and more, I always follow this three-step process for every client.

  1. Pre-Event – After finalization of the assignment and the event date, I spend time interacting with the point-of-contact and try to understand the story behind the event, the key people, the format, schedule the mood and the experience that they are envisaging for their audiences. I then prepare the Emcee Script and share the first draft with them. Based on the type of event and the speakers or acts planned, we finalize the introductions for each part and the closure for each part. Once the script is ready, I rehearse it to ensure that I add key elements to my memory and keep the broader flow and schedule in mind while at the event. If possible, I also do a reccee of the venue prior to the event and do a dry-run with all the production folks to have them understand their cues for a smooth event execution.
  2. Event – I ensure I get enough sleep before an event to help me perform at the top of my energy and enthusiasm. I reach the venue before time and introduce myself to the key people I will be coordinating with hostesses, production guys, organizers, key team members, etc. During the whole event, I stay focused on every detail of the event, both on-stage and backstage making sure that it is a flawless event for the audience. I keep myself conscious of not letting my energy levels down throughout the day and keep everyone’s spirits up. If needed, I also plan engaging games and quirks to keep the audience energy high and engaged. Spend time with the team after wrap-up and leave on a good note. If travelling, I usually don’t keep my flights on the same day as the event to avoid rushing into things and be flexible.
  3. Post-Event – Once the event is physically over, I make sure I share the experience with my social media community (LIN – 17k+ followers) and give the event and the brand the mileage they need. I am always just a call away for any post-event discussions, improvement areas and spreading the energy at other event locations.
